SAP HANA is the latest advancement introduced by SAP. It combines two features in-memory computing and the Columnar Database management system ( CDBMS). These two features enhance the speed of operation while running real-time applications.
Instead of using disk storage, In-memory processing uses the RAM of the system to store even the complex data while the columnar database speeds up the system performance by reading only the data that is actually required to answer or fulfill a query.
SAP S/4 HANA Enterprise management: SAP S/$ HANA simplifies the data models and the overall ERP suite’s processes to enhance the processing speed thereby enabling faster transactions. In SAP S/4 HANA the entire ERP suite’s processes and data models are simplified to enable faster transactions. The S/4HANA Public Cloud allows SAP to provide a complete ERP suite over the cloud. In addition, S/4HANA also enables Managed Cloud services using S/4HANA and HANA Enterprise Cloud.
S/4HANA is relatively easier to use and helps to solve more complex problems and can process larger amounts of data than its predecessors. The deployment models available are on-premises, cloud and hybrid models. S/4HANA was written in HANA and not running on top of it. SAPS/4HANA is a great opportunity for businesses to reinvent business models and generate new revenues by taking advantage of IoT & big data by connecting people, devices and business networks.
